Is Career Coaching for me?

If you are committed to your career but feel it is time for a new direction or a better job, then you have come to the right place. As career coaches, our job is to show you step-by-step how to go about finding out what your dream job might be and how to get it. To decide whether you should come and see us for a no-obligation initial consultation, consider these questions:

  1. Are you happy in your current job?
  2. Are you happy with your current salary?
  3. Do you feel valued at work?
  4. Do you look forward to going into work every day?
  5. Do you feel you are fulfilling your career potential?
  6. Do you have a supportive employer and the work-life balance you need?
  7. Does your employer provide the development and career prospects you want?

If you answered ‘NO’ to 2 or more of these questions, you should talk to us today.  Why stay in a job or organisation where your needs and potential remain unfulfilled? Use the enquiry form to contact us or call 1 300 855 027 to talk to one of our consultants about how we can help you.

Why should I invest in Career Coaching?

Because it will make you happier in your job and your career. You spend most of your waking hours as an adult at work, so it pays to be in a job you love. You are entitled to feel that your work has meaning, purpose and financial reward in line with your potential. We will give you your money back if you are not satisfied with our services – but who will give you the days, months or years back that you wasted in a job you are not happy with?

Beyond a potential boost in your salary, you can expect a significant return on your investment immediately. You will have more clarity, feel better about yourself and the direction you are going in and spend less time worrying or being frustrated with work. In contrast to the ‘instant gratification’ of an impulse purchase, you will have benefits lasting many years from this investment in yourself.

What is the cost of the initial consultation?

We charge $139 incl. GST for your no-obligation one-hour initial consultation. In this initial consultation we assess how we might best be able to assist you and if you would benefit from working with us. If you and we feel that working together would be of benefit to you, we create a customised program for you based on your needs and the level of investment you are prepared to make.

Is Career Coaching the same as Career Counselling?

Not in the traditional sense. We prefer career coaching because most career counsellors work in the education space (School, TAFE, University) and act as career guidance counsellors for young people. Traditional career counsellors also tend to rely on psychometric testing for their initial assessment. We specialise in working with people who have at least 5 years work experience after finishing their education and are looking at career management or career transitions. All our consultants come from an executive coaching and recruitment background and have many years experience working across all the major industries.

Do you help me find the right course/qualification to do?

No. We are not in the business of providing advice on which courses to attend. We focus on career transitions that do not require an up-front qualification to be attained. If you want to do a part-time course in parallel with finding a new job, then we can certainly make that part of our program with you.

How is Complete Career Management different from other providers?

We are expert coaches and we work 1-on-1 with you in all stages of a program to make sure you get the best possible insights and advice. All of our coaches also work as executive coaches with blue-chip clients in Melbourne.

We are committed to providing you with all the support and assistance you need to achieve your career goals. This involves helping you to reflect on your career choices to date and how you can best apply the skills and experience you have accumulated. Understanding what makes you happy at work, what values you need from your employer and how you like to be managed are important insights that we explore with you.

Very few people decided on a career strategy when they looked for their first job. Most of us make career choices more by accident than by design. But it is never too late to switch and start creating a career strategy that will make you happy and help you achieve your full potential. Guiding you on this journey is what we are about.

Can you find me a job?

Only you can find yourself a job. Even recruitment agencies don’t find people jobs, they fill existing positions. We support you in creating your career and job search strategy and then assist you through every step of putting that strategy into practice. This includes learning how to sell yourself, resume and interview preparation, assistance with networking and cold calling and learning how to work with prospective employers and recruiters. This is a much more effective way of supporting you than ‘finding you a job’ which you might neither like nor want.

Can you guarantee that I will find a new job?

Not really, only you can guarantee that you will put in the effort required and follow our advice. What we do guarantee is that we will match the effort you put into finding a new job. If you sign up for one of our programs, we continue to work with you until you have achieved the outcome you want.

Is career coaching tax deductible?

We are not tax specialists, so best to check with your accountant. We understand that the ATO at present only recognises career coaching as a tax deductible expense if the aim is to better an existing position, not to get a new job.
