In this initial consultation we assess how we might best be able to assist you and if you would benefit from working with us. Not in the traditional sense. We prefer career coaching because most career counsellors work in the education space (School, TAFE, University) and act as career guidance counsellors for young people. Traditional career counsellors also tend to rely on psychometric testing for their initial assessment. We specialise in working with people who have at least 5 years work experience after finishing their education and are looking at career management or career transitions. All our consultants come from an executive coaching and recruitment background and have many years experience working across all the major industries.

No. We are not in the business of providing advice on which courses to attend. We focus on career transitions that do not require an up-front qualification to be attained. If you want to do a part-time course in parallel with finding a new job, then we can certainly make that part of our program with you.
We are expert coaches and we work 1-on-1 with you in all stages of a program to make sure you get the best possible insights and advice. All of our coaches also work as executive coaches with blue-chip clients in Melbourne.
We are committed to providing you with all the support and assistance you need to achieve your career goals. This involves helping you to reflect on your career choices to date and how you can best apply the skills and experience you have accumulated. We support you in creating your career and job search strategy and then assist you through every step of putting that strategy into practice. This includes learning how to sell yourself, resume and interview preparation, assistance with networking and cold calling and learning how to work with prospective employers and recruiters. This is a much more effective way of supporting you than ‘finding you a job’ which you might neither like nor want.

Absolutely. We have detailed knowledge of most industries and our advice will be tailored to the industry you are in or wish to enter.
We are not tax specialists, so best to check with your accountant. We understand that the ATO at present only recognises career coaching as a tax deductible expense if the aim is to better an existing position, not to get a new job.
Absolutely. We have a very good understanding of how Australian employers view overseas work experience and what strategies you need to employ to get an equivalent position in Australia.
